<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><B><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Konstantina Kuneva</SPAN></FONT></B><FONT face="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">, 44 anni, è un’immigrata bulgara che vive e lavora per sostenere la sua famiglia. Ha lavorato per molti anni come addetta alle pulizie impiegata nell’azienda privata “OIKOMET”, che affitta i suoi dipendenti alle imprese del settore pubblico. Questa azienda appartiene al signor Ikonomakis, vecchio quadro del PASOK, partito social democratico di opposizione, e il suo consigliere legale è il signor Tzanis, ex vice ministro degli Affari Interni (quando il Pasok era al potere). </SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Negli ultimi anni, Konstantina era addetta alle pulizie degli impianti della “Ferrovia Elettrica Atene Pireo” (ISAP). </SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Il settore degli addetti alla pulizia è uno dei più sfruttati; molti impiegati sono immigrati ed oggetto di ricatto da parte dei loro capi, mentre i servizi di stato e i burocrati sindacalisti non fanno niente per applicare le norme anche più elementari e meno sufficienti sul lavoro.</SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Konstantina è un’immigrata, una donna, un’addetta alle pulizie. Ma è molto più di questo: è anche una lavoratrice sindacalista consapevole ed è divenuta uno dei dirigenti più attivi del <B><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">sindacato degli addetti alle pulizie di tutta l’Attica</SPAN></B>. Si tratta di uno dei sindacati più combattivi, nonostante che i burocrati sindacalisti (la maggior parte di loro appartenenti al Pasok e alla destra del governo attuale) non facciano niente per appoggiarli nelle loro lotte ardue per il rispetto dei più elementari diritti dei loro membri e di tutti gli addetti alle pulizie. </SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Konstantina è ben presto diventata l’anima della lotta: ha sempre lottato in prima linea, alleando i suoi colleghi ed esigendo il rispetto delle norme sul lavoro, nonostante le minacce in aumento e la discriminazione nei suoi confronti.</SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><B><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Konstantina è un esempio per tutti noi. </SPAN></FONT></B><FONT face="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">È una sindacalista modello, la personificazione della dignità dei lavoratori e della fiducia nei diritti della classe dei lavoratori. Konstantina è “caparbia”. Non ha ceduto alle minacce dei capi. É stata definita “l’incarnazione della sfrontatezza” dai suoi collaboratori: “Come può lei, un’immigrata, madre single, un’addetta alle pulizie, osare cambiare il sistema?”. Il ricatto iniziale ed il suo trasferimento al turno di notte (così non poteva prendersi cura in modo appropriato del suo bambino) non l’hanno intimidita. Ha continuato a lottare. Perciò, sono seguite minacce anonime di morte. Non ha ceduto neanche allora.. Fino a
che… </SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Mentre tornava dal lavoro alla sua abitazione, in un quartiere povero, Konstantina Kouneva è rimasta <B><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">vittima di un attentato micidiale</SPAN></B>. Gli attentatori, mandati dai capi, l’hanno immobilizzata e le hanno gettato il <B><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">vetriolo</SPAN></B> sul viso. Dopo, le hanno aperto la bocca e le hanno gettato l’acido <B><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">giù per la gola</SPAN></B>.</SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Da quella notte, Konstantina lotta per la sua vita nel reparto di terapia intensiva. Ha perso un occhio e la sua faccia è sfigurata; ma il peggio è che il suo apparato digerente è distrutto, bruciato dall’acido. </SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><B><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">I medici stanno lottando per salvarle la vita mentre la sua condizione rimane molto critica</SPAN></FONT></B><FONT face="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">.</SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Sua madre e suo figlio Emmanuel (che soffre di scompenso cardiaco) sopravvivono e traggono coraggio grazie alla solidarietà attiva di centinaia di lavoratori.</SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">La “giustizia” e la polizia non hanno fatto <B><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">niente</SPAN></B> fino ad oggi per trovare i perpetratori di questo attacco criminale contro questa rappresentante coraggiosa e vera dei lavoratori. I media borghesi non hanno trovato il tempo e lo spazio per parlare del suo caso. Ma i suoi colleghi, tutti i lavoratori onesti e le organizzazioni della sinistra radicale non hanno lasciato che questo crimine venisse celato dall’alleanza colpevole del governo, dei datori di lavoro, dei media e della “giustizia”.</SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Oggi, nonostante il silenzio imposto dai media più importanti, tutto il mondo conosce il caso di Konstantina Kuneva. Molte mobilitazioni di solidarietà con Konstantina ed il movimento sindacalista militante hanno avuto luogo dal 22 dicembre, includendo gli attacchi contro gli impianti ISAP e le marce con la partecipazione di <B><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">migliaia di persone</SPAN></B>.</SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoBodyText style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">Lo spirito dei militanti della rivolta di dicembre dà vita a questa straordinaria corrente di solidarietà.</SPAN></FONT></P>
