Numerose case sono state perquisite, decine di persone sono state trattenute in carcere, molti sono gli arresti. </FONT></P>

<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face="Times New Roman">Noi, i partecipanti all’EPA di Berlino, condanniamo la repressione contro il popolo curdo e le sue organizzazioni, intensificata negli ultimi mesi, e la repressione contro i lavoratori in sciopero della Tekel, la compagnia pubblica di tabacchi e alcool in Turchia.</FONT></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face="Times New Roman">La recente messa al bando del Partito della Democrazia e della Libertà (DTP), il principale rappresentante dei curdi, è profondamente antidemocratica e prepara le basi di un’ulteriore repressione contro il Movimento di Liberazione Curdo. Inoltre, rappresenta un grosso pericolo per tutte le forze democratiche in Turchia.</FONT></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face="Times New Roman">Condanniamo sia la messa al bando del DTP sia la repressione che è seguita contro gli attivisti politici curdi.</FONT></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face="Times New Roman">Il 24 dicembre, solo due settimane dopo la messa al bando, quando i parlamentari e i sindaci del DTP hanno dichiarato la loro appartenenza al Partito della Libertà e della Democrazia (BDP), le forze di polizia turche hanno cominciato ad arrestare in massa politici curdi e attivisti civili. Dall’aprile scorso e in particolare dal dicembre 2009, complessivamente 900 persone sono state arrestate. Tra gli arrestati ci sono 11 sindaci, anche di grandi città, attivisti per i diritti umani e sindacalisti. Oggi ogni sindaco appartenente al BDP e ogni attivista politico curdo deve affrontare la repressione, che ha raggiunto il livello più elevato degli ultimi dieci anni.</FONT></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face="Times New Roman">Una repressione di tipo particolare contro i curdi è costituita dalle condanne di circa 3000 bambini curdi che hanno partecipato alle manifestazioni degli ultimi 4 anni. Oggi circa 450 bambini, invece di andare a scuola, si trovano in prigione. Dozzine di bambini sono già stati condannati a pene da 9 a 12 anni di carcere.</FONT></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face="Times New Roman">In questo modo, un colpo di stato di bassa intensità è portato avanti contro i curdi in Turchia.</FONT></P>

Il governo turco è altrettanto antidemocratico quanto quello di Israele, che mira allo sterminio della popolazione palestinese, e quello indiano, quello della cosiddetta “più grande democrazia del mondo”, che con l’Operazione Green Hunt, attacca il suo popolo, mira alla deportazione e allo sterminio nei confronti di decine di milioni di tribali e alla devastazione di uno dei più importanti ambienti naturali dell’Asia.</FONT></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face="Times New Roman">Il governo italiano si associa a questa politica, affiancandosi alla repressione che il governo turco ha messo in atto contro il popolo kurdo. È lo stesso governo che condanna gli immigrati allo sfruttamento più feroce e a condizioni di vita infami, che li perseguita e li priva di ogni diritto, è lo stesso che condanna milioni di italiani alla disoccupazione, alla precarietà e alla miseria, che smantella la scuola e la sanità pubbliche, che devasta il nostro paese e lo affonda nelle frane, nelle inondazioni, nei rifiuti, nello smog, che viola la Costituzione e dà mano libera alle squadre fasciste e alle cariche della polizia.</FONT></P>

<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-US><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">We condemn both the disclosure of DTP and the following repression against Kurdish political activists. </FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-US><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">On the 24th December, only two weeks after the ban, when the parliamentarians and mayors of DTP declared their participation to the Party of Freedom and Democracy (BDP), Turkish police forces started to arrest broadly Kurdish politicians and civil activists. Since last April and particularly since December totally 900 people have been arrested. The arrests include 11 mayors, even from big cities, and human right activists and trade unionists. Today every BDP mayor and every Kurdish political activist is confronted with repression which reached to a maximum level in last ten years. </FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><SPAN lang=EN-US><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">A very special kind of repression against the Kurds is the charging of up to 3000 Kurdish children who participated in the demonstration in the last 4 years. Around 450 of the children are currently in jails instead of being at the schools. Dozens of the children have already been judged with 9 to 12 years. </FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>
